Hotel wallcovering installation

Bedrooms, corridors and public areas in London hotels, hung to programme and around the house. Public commissions include The OWO, Brown's Hotel, Four Seasons Ten Trinity Square and hotels in Holborn and at Silverstone.

Contract vinyls are the usual specification in busy hotel rooms and corridors. At The OWO, Whitehall, the install was Vescom wallcoverings, to walls and to parts of the joinery, between 2020 and 2023.

Hotel work moves floor by floor or room by room around guests. Delivery of free-issue goods is timed to the hang, and paper is not left in corridors. A project leader is on site every day, and on a longer commission senior oversight agrees a forward plan each week.

Where Mr Wallcover is appointed as main decorating contractor, the package can include fine painting, French polishing and other specialist finishes, as it did at Brown's Hotel, Mayfair, from 2022 to 2024.

Finished guest bedroom at Brown's Hotel, Mayfair: grey upholstered headboard, yellow cushions, a checked throw and twin wall lights on pale grey painted walls.

Questions

Asked about Hotel wallcovering installation

Can you install wallcoverings in a hotel that stays open?

Yes. Most of our hotel work has been in live buildings. The work is contained, moves around the house's bookings, and the area is left tidy.

Do you take the whole decorating package?

We can. At Brown's Hotel and at Hyde London City, the Old Bailey Hotel, Mr Wallcover was the main decorating contractor. Elsewhere we have carried the wallcovering package alone.
