Where we work

Wallpaper installation in the Cotswolds

Country houses and estates in the Cotswolds and beyond. Mr Wallcover is a London practice, and for the right project the same core team travels to the house.

Country houses bring their own conditions: old lime plaster, uneven walls, tall stair halls and rooms that were not built square. The survey covers the state of the walls as well as the measure, so the preparation is in the scope from the start.

Hand-painted and scenic papers, grasscloth, silk and fabric walling are set out from a fixed point so the pattern meets where it should, around doors, chimney breasts and corners.

The aftercare is the same as in London: a return visit about four to six weeks after completion, and a twelve-month guarantee on the workmanship. Outside London, the public record of our work also includes Hilton Garden Inn Silverstone.

Questions

Asked about Cotswolds

Do you travel outside London for wallpaper installation?

Yes. We cover London and the surrounding areas, and work UK-wide for selected projects, including country houses in the Cotswolds.

Can you hang wallpaper on old or uneven walls?

Often, with the right preparation. The survey is a judgement on the wall. If it is not ready for the material specified, we say so and write the preparation into the scope before anyone orders the paper.
