Grasscloth and natural weave installation

Grasscloth, sisal, raffia and other natural weaves, hung in London houses and hotels.

The irregularity is the point of the material. Colour and weave vary from roll to roll, and the seams are visible. We agree that, and the direction of the weave, before the first length is cut.

Natural weaves mark easily and do not forgive adhesive on the face. They are hung with clean hands and an adhesive that suits the backing, following the maker's instruction.

Quantities allow for the variation between rolls, so lengths from the same batch can be kept together on a wall.

Questions

Asked about Grasscloth installation

Will grasscloth seams be visible?

Yes. Visible seams and colour variation between rolls are part of the material. We agree how that will look, and the direction of the weave, before hanging.

How do you clean grasscloth?

Gently, and dry. The care notes for each material are on the aftercare page.
