Where we work

Wallcovering installation in the City of London

Hotels and commercial interiors in the Square Mile. In the City, Mr Wallcover carried out the guest room and suite wallpapering at Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square from 2016 to 2019, and was the main decorating contractor at Hyde London City, the hotel at 15 Old Bailey.

City projects run to programmes set by the main contractor and the building. Our role is usually a package within that programme: survey, quantities, delivery of free-issue goods, the hang, and the snagging that follows.

On a longer commission, a project leader is on site every day and senior oversight agrees a forward plan with the site team each week. Frequent, plain communication is part of the method.

Contract wallcoverings, vinyls and acoustic finishes are common in City hotels and offices. We also hang the natural weaves and specialist papers that appear in suites and front-of-house areas.

Questions

Asked about City of London

Do you work alongside main contractors?

Yes. We work alongside main contractors on City programmes, taking the full wallcovering or decorating package and fitting in with the site team, the programme and the building's rules. We can also run the package directly for the client. At Ten Trinity Square the guest room and suite wallpapering ran from 2016 to 2019.

Can you work to a hotel or fit-out programme?

Yes. Delivery is timed to the hang and the work moves floor by floor or room by room to suit the programme. Free-issue goods are checked against the measure on arrival.
