We install Timorous Beasties papers. The project on the public record is Hyde London City, the former Old Bailey Hotel. Mr Wallcover is not on maker recommended-installer lists: a maker’s name on this site means we installed that maker’s product on that project.

## What was hung

Two Timorous Beasties designs, produced as custom-printed vinyl wallpaper: Totem Damask in Black & Blue on guest-room feature walls, and Tropical Clouded Leopard in Vanilla on headboard walls. The interior designers, Studio Moren, selected the designs. For the maker’s range, see [Timorous Beasties](https://www.timorousbeasties.com/).

## How it hangs

As the case study records it: a sample room first, with the headboard panel shaped and set out behind the bed, then the finish, the setting out and the detailing repeated across the bedrooms.

## On the public record

Hyde London City, the former Old Bailey Hotel: 111 guest rooms across seven storeys, in a Grade II-listed Victorian building, about two years on site from a finished sample room in November 2022. The case study below is the record, with its photographs.

Questions

## Asked about Timorous Beasties installation

### Is Mr Wallcover a Timorous Beasties approved installer?

No. Mr Wallcover is not on maker recommended-installer lists. We installed two Timorous Beasties designs across the bedrooms of Hyde London City. A maker's name on this site means we installed that maker's product on that project; it is not a maker approval, accreditation or endorsement.

### Why was the Timorous Beasties pattern printed as vinyl?

The case study records it: vinyl lets the patterns stand up to the daily wear of a busy hotel while keeping their colour and detail. The designs were selected by the interior designers, Studio Moren.

### How is a pattern like this set out across a hotel?

Sample room first. Our record at Hyde London City starts with a finished sample room in November 2022, with Tropical Clouded Leopard behind the bed as a shaped headboard panel. Agreeing the finish, the setting out and the detailing in one room first meant the rest could be repeated with confidence.
