# Architectural & furniture film wrapping

Self-adhesive architectural films that refinish doors, joinery, lifts, counters and furniture in place, without stripping out or replacing them.

Architectural film is a thin, self-adhesive surface in wood, stone, metal, leather-look, textured or solid finishes. Applied properly, it renews a door, a run of joinery or a piece of furniture where it stands. There is no spraying on site and no long drying time, and far less goes in the skip than with a replacement.

It suits hotels and offices that cannot close a floor for long: bedroom doors and wardrobes, lift cars and lift lobbies, reception desks, bar fronts, kitchen fronts, wall panelling and loose furniture. Rooms can usually go back into use as each area is finished.

The finish depends on the preparation. Surfaces are cleaned, keyed, filled and primed to the film maker's instruction. Edges, corners and returns are where a wrap succeeds or fails, so we plan them at the survey and agree them on a sample before the run starts.

Trained at Solar Screen's headquarters in Luxembourg in window films (Solar Screen) and architectural and furniture wrapping film (Cover Styl'). We install to the maker's own instructions. The same practice surveys, quantifies, supplies the film if you need it, installs and returns for aftercare.

### What can architectural film be applied to?

Most smooth, sound and non-porous surfaces: painted or laminated doors, joinery, MDF, metal, lift interiors, counters and furniture. The surface is checked at the survey. Where it is flaking, damp or very textured, it needs work first, and we say so.

### Can film wrapping be done while a hotel or office stays open?

Usually, yes. There is no spraying and little dust or smell, so work can go room by room or floor by floor, and each area can be handed back as it is finished.

### Can we see the finish before committing?

Yes. We apply a sample on a real door or panel so the finish, the edges and the colour can be approved in the room's own light before the full run is ordered.
