# Hand-painted scenic papers

Scenic and panelled papers, in the manner of houses such as de Gournay and Fromental. We hang them. We do not make them, and we are not affiliated with those makers.

**Consider it when**
: The scene should be designed around the room and its focal points.

**The trade-off**
: Doors, corners and furniture can interrupt the composition.

**Before ordering**
: Agree elevations, panel sequence, supplier proof and finished dimensions.

## Joins

Panels follow a sequence. The scene has to meet across doors, windows and corners. The set-out starts from a fixed point.

## Where it belongs

Suites and drawing rooms

## Handling

A sound wall, time, and the maker’s instruction on lining.

## Care

As the maker specifies. These are not washable contract surfaces.

Digital colour is a guide. Order a cutting or a sample before you commit to a room. We can install material you have already bought, or source a family and install it. Either way, the next step is a short note about the room.
