        "Quantities include wastage and pattern repeat. The allowance is typically 15–30%, depending on the pattern repeat and the layout, with staircases at the high end (around 30%) because of the angles. Extra rolls for pattern matching are confirmed at survey. A roll that looks generous on a plan can run short on the last pier.",
